Education and resources to manage your own PCA program...

The PCA Management Program helps eligible MassHealth members achieve independent living through Personal Care Management Services and Fiscal Intermediary Services.

PCA Management helps obtain and maintain eligibility for PCA services through skills training. Our trainers provide education and resources so you can manage your own PCA program. Skills needed to manage the program include employer-related tasks such as hiring and training of PCAs, and timesheet submission. Participants must fulfill these requirements:

  1. A physician prescription for PCA services.
  2. A permanent or chronic disability.
  3. A need for physical assistance in two or more activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing) or instrumental activities of daily living skills, such as shopping or laundry.
  4. An assessment/evaluation by PRIDE staff to determine eligibility.
